Can you run the VM in VMWare Desktop? Any problem that prevents it starting should display something on the console

I've tried this in the past and I pretty much gave up since it never worked. Being very optimistic I tried it again and I'm still having the same issues:
- Service starts without problems
- Virtual machine doesn't respond to ping or RDC
- If I open the vmware application, the VM shows as stopped.

What am I doing wrong? I have checked the paths and filenames multiple times and everything is correct.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

In fact XFS is an excellent choice. At the time I wrote that post, I was using JFS on Ubuntu desktops and simply wanted the same on CentOS.
However, over the last couple of years building a data warehouse on RHEL/CentOS, XFS has proven much easier to work with as RH supports
XFS out of the box.

I reckon you're right! Unfortunately, I no longer know which is correct. But thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks for your kind words. I've updated the Boggle package with an explanation of how CDict and the CBoard::Walk code works, and posted it on Github at https://github.com/pkrnjevic/Boggle. Read the comments there.

That's the funny thing: there are so many tools and hunting for the right combination of IDE, plugins, language support etc can drive you crazy.
Recently, I've given up looking and just use Vim (gvim and macvim) for pretty much for everything other than Windows, where Visual Studio rules.
But even there, for any non-MS product, gvim for windows is great.
